So, to go down the list:

Miniatures: Account based with new system.
Weapons: Account based with new system.
Titles: Mostly character based, with exceptions.
Armor: Character based.
Hero's: Character based.
That'd work. I understand that HoM is supposed to be your character's personal achievements and not the accumulated experiences of your entire account, but they really need to fix they way they implemented it. I want to display my minis, but I refuse to customize them to one character. With the exception of Mr. Pinchy, Laura's personal whiptail, all my characters share all my minis, which sit in storage until I want them.

Did they ever fix the no-PvE-title thing? Because that's just crap.

/signed - in addition though - my biggest HOM beef is that we can't put any other weapon/rare from other campaigns in there for the future? Tormented, zodiacs, everything and all things from the 3 campaigns were for naught and only destroyer fiery peices of crap count for GW2???? that's ridiculous - please change that part too!!!!!!!!

At least the Devotion monument should be like that.
It's almost impossible to get 20 miniatures in a single character under 1 year without purchasing them from other characters or using the miniatures that other characters got in their birthdays.

Also in favor of account based titles, also fixes the question of allowing access to view other's HoM without them present and knowing which hall they saw.

Account-based is the only reasonable way it could have been done.
Any other way, including the way it is now, doesn't make sense.

GW really needs an achievement aggregation rewarding mechanic, for both PvE and PvP. HoM was expected to be exactly it but it failed. It was hyped to be a place for YOU to put YOUR achievements into, and

What's the point of having multiple HoMs anyway? Players playing only one character don't care, but everyone else gets multiple half-assed halls, instead of one big thing they could contribute to by playing whichever character they wanted!

What's the point of rewarding players for *repeating* everything over and over? We know the GW2 inheritance system is going to be Character -> Character, so multiple pimped out HoMs will give multiple rewards!
It sucks!
Who want's to repeat everything over and over just to enable more than one GW2 character to show some cool looking stuff? Why doing eveything once isn't sufficient?

A perfect rewarding system would definately be account-based:
-Fair for everyone, no matter the play style preferences - it shouldn't *require* one style of play (1 main character only)
-Free of grind and forced repetition - completing all possible achievements once can be fun, and that's the point of the game. But doing that over and over again to fill multple HoMs is nothing but pure grind.
-Fair for everyone no matter when they started playing - now players who have favorite chars born before Factions release cannot hope for a complete HoM - no Survivor or LDoA for them! Account based HoM would allow doing the titles on other characters and making them still count and matter! No changes required in the titles themselves!
-A system that wouldn't require and reward players for doing things they *do not want to do* because they feel or obviously know it makes no sense! Example - 11 types of different Destroyer weapons required to complete the monument for ONE character! Look at how terribly stupid is requring and rewarding a caster for crafting all those hammers, daggers and scythes. And how it would suddenly start to make sense if you could actually use those weapons on any characters you wanted to! (I'm not even getting into how lame is accepting only those ugly Destruyer weapons, or that a character can't just put any 11 destroyer weapons, even 5 swords 6 shields or 11 staffs, as the cost is exactly the same - clear sign that HoM fails even at being character-based!) Same with armors, titles and pets.

I believe they said somewhere that the reason for making it character based is so that people with multiple GW1 accounts can link to the same GW2 account. And that makes perfect sense.

Welcome to Sardelac, where threads never die until they get added to the game, they is no longer necessary to add them or mods close them.

And this falls into the 'to be added' category, since people still bother about it.

Making out of the HoM an accound based feature would make out of the HoM finally a good feature and it makes only sense.
Also making the HoM AB would mean, that the whole game would finally become again MULTI CHARACTER FRIENDLY!!!, so as GW was, as only prophecies and no titles ect. existed, where it was totally regardless , with how many characters you play.
To this gameplay has GW to come BACK, back to its good ROOTS !!!!


Minipets have to become account based, because no ass is so weird to buy every single Minipet more than ONCE !!!, unless Anet gives us not for our Chests a Minipet Tag and makes Minipets STACKABLE and makes ALL minipets common enough, so that all players can have them several times, than only 1x... I mean those god damn limitated uber rare minipets with this !!!!. Birthday Pets are no problem at all ...

Destroyer Weapons should be accountbased, because no ass is so weird, to buy 11 weapons for every single character, therefore those weapons cost simple too much. The only way I can see, why this monument should stay character based is, when anet makes this monument finaly not something, that is totally retarded and lets each of our characters put on the monument 11 weapons of OUR FREE WILL, totally regardless which weapons they are, they simple must be only max damage, have a req of R9 or lesser and must be perfect modded, but must not require to have inscriptions, just all the bonis of the weapons must be perfect and that should be enough as requirement to put on anythin there, what you want, so also too any green items, which come it with perfect stats ... when you like them so much ,tht you want to put them onto the monument, then the player should be able to do so.
Weapons need also too to become finally accountbased, when we customize them...

weapons when "customized" should not receive a customization to the character, but instead a DEDICATION to your account... DEDICATION to the account is a much better system, other then weapons beign customized to single characters -.- and dedication of weapons woudl have the exact same effect - they would become 20% stronger, but could not be sold anymore ...

The only monument, that can stay character based is the one for Elite-Armors, because its simple impossible and unlogical to make this monument accountbased.

Hero monument shoudl become account based...the skills that our heroes use are already account based, so why not make them totally accountbased...
Only the receivement of the heroes should stay characterbased, but it is totally regardless, if the heroes wear from the start on now their beginner armor, or if they wear from the start on their elite armors, makes absolutely no difference, because this change means nothign anyhowe to the game's lore. the lore gets not touched anyhow by the fact, if Koss wears now his starter armor in the first mission, when you got him, or it it is his elite armor...

But this change would save us all alot of stupid grind !!! about those dumb armor remnants and the hero monument ...

many titles in GW should become account based, simple because they are either pure grind or simple buyable, what means that absolutely no skill is required for them, soem of them you can simple max in tows, while you watch movies or do other shit in the same time ... >.> those titles are retarded, as long they are not accountbased.

The only titles and things about the title monument, that should be character based are the

Vanguisher Titles
Skill Hunter titles
Protector/Guardian Titles
and the reputation titles, but Anet has to change the PvE Skill Concept.
the Skills should have fix effects and should not get affected through the rank of the titles -.- peoples should not have to grind for reputation, only to get those pve only skils to a level, where they are most strognest.

this counts ESPECIALLY for the Luxon/kurzick skills -.-

who the **** for example will use a ranger''s Tripple Shot, when this skill has with R1 a ~50% Attack damage malus and all 3 shots deal only half damage, than normal attacks and the player has to become first R10 luxon ect. so that the tripple shot will become useful and the damage malus gets reduced to only 25% reduced damage per arrow ... And those 2 account based titles are even far more grind, than the other reputation titles, which are way easier farmed together, than getting 10 Million reputaton of one of those 2 factions -.-


because those are the only titles of GW, that require from the player some skill and gameplay, they are not just simple buyable or pure grind.

All other titles should be accountbased, because they are only pure grind or buyable. But far more: soem of them give also the player benefits and when you max those titles, thosebenefits can be very unfair and of a disadvantage for people, hwich have not the time nor the money to max those grind titles.

some of the titles ranks are imo also a bit too high, even when beign accountbased...

10k valuable chests open with keys, that must be at least 600g worth oO ya sure ... I must really ask me, who must have shitten into the devs brain, who has thought this title out so, as it is ????
The concept of the title is flawed... really ..

increase the maximum amount of ponts maybe, but give us players better options to collect points for this title, other then only 1 cheap point per chest -.-

Dungeon Chests should imo count to this title as 10 Points, Eng Game chests should count imo as 25 Points and the concept, that every character can have only 1x the item for the endgame chest should get removed ..

end game greens are so or so nothing worth, because everyone and everyone's mom can get those items , and the effort of beating the game/end game boss should be rewarded with soem treasure points for the end game chest >.>.

also the end chests of the elite areas of DoA, Deep, urgoz, UW and Fow should give like 50 points to the Tresure Hunter Title.

opening valuable chests should give instead of 1 point 5 points, and oeping anything else, that is lesser than 600g worth should give then still 1-2 points.
1 Point, if something purple drops, 2 point,s if somethign golden drops ...
this way the treasure hunter title would be not so extreme flawed and the max cap could be also maybe raise from 10k to 25k points

Same with widom title, is also flawed..., everything we identify should give points, not only gold items, but everything should simple give different points.

Identifying a Blue item should give 1 point, itentifying something purple gives then 3 points and gold items should give 5 points ...

Then the max cap could be also increased to 25k, through raising the caps could receive both titles more ranks maybe to increase from r7 max also to r10 max

Drunkard, Sweettooth and party Lion are just grind titles and pure buyable ones, they should be all accountbased to reduce the grind to a minimum, because no ass is so weird to get those titles with more, than 1 character ...

And last but not least:

Survivor/LDoa have to become account based so that players have to do the massive grind around those 2 titles only once and that finally the fail concept around those 2 titles gets fixed, so that all old players will receive also a chance to get the titles somehow for their HoM...

when those things are done, anet can use the HoM also direct to solve some other big flaws of the game, like storage problems ...

Armor Storage, Minipet Storage, Ranger pet Storage are the 3 big problems with that Anet has to deal for a long time ... and the solution would be somewhat of god damn easy, if anet would just do it finally !!!

We all know this Head gear NPC for Event hats, we give the npc an Event Hat and for a tiny fee this npc can reproduce for us the hats as often, as we want, when none of it is in our inventory ...

WTF can anet just no use this mechanics of this NPC for other things too !!!!

Go to a Puppetmaster NPC in your HoM, give him one of your dedicated Minipets, the Minipet will disappear and the next time you talk to the npc, he will reproduce for you the given Minipet being dedicated for a small fee, like the event hat npc for 10g ... this way anet would give us more storage place, without giving us even really more place in our chests, because Reproduction is the KEY here !!!

Same way with ranger pets ... level your pet to 20, go to the pet tamer npc at your HoM and he will take your pet... you talk again to him, pay a small fee and you get your pet back reproduced with the same evolution it has, as at the time, when you gave it to the npc ... this way rangers wold become finally able to have more than 1 pet!!!! and it requires not more storage place i nthe chest, just get your stuff away and reproduce it, whenever you want to have somethign back ,when u need/want it !!!

last but not least the same with Armors..

give the npc a full armor sett and when you talk to the npc the next time, he wil ask you, if you want to exchange the armor, that your character wears in the moment with an other armor set, he has stored, he woudl be the only npc, that charges no fee, you simple change ever your armor that you wear in the moment, with an other of the garderobe npc ta your HoM

this woudl be maybe the only npc, that would give us more storage place, but it is simple limited to the amount of armors the game has and even then, not all players like every armors set, btw need every armor set, the average player uses maybe only 4-5 sets of armor to have 1 set of armor for every possible build that you can create with a character through runes and insignias to have somethign for every situation ingame.


if anet really cares for GW1 still ,they would fix the HoM and i also remember on something, that anets wants to do also more changes on the hoM, but until NOW, we have yet seen absolutely NOTHING, the HoM is still in the way, as it is, when Eotn got released and how the hoM is atm, it simple sux ballz!!!

Anet said the gw2 bonuses wouldnt give you an actual edge in play so what does it matter if a devoted player doesnt want to do everything multiple times to have cool crap in the future
